I like taking photos.  I like everything about it.  I like the light and the darkness, the highlights and shadow.  I like the way that anything and everything can be beautiful, interesting, alarming, breathtaking, disturbing, funny, sad, inspiring, crazy, weird, complex and simple all in how you look at it.  The camera allows you to look at things differently, and sometimes you are lucky to come up with a few keepers.
